IN CASE YOU'VE BEEN WONDERING...
Congratulations, you're engaged! Now what? You probably have a lot of questions about planning your wedding, and if you're here, specifically about invitations. We're happy to help guide you with some commonly asked questions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
First and foremost, you are celebrating an exciting event in your life and this process should be fun and enjoyable! I work from my home to foster an environment that is relaxed and personalized for you to focus on finding an invitation suite you love and I can focus on you. Together we will explore your personal style and discuss how to express this throughout your invitation suite, along with how to carry these details through to your wedding day. From invitation wording, fonts, stocks, ink colors, and design elements- we will cover all the bases at a comfortable pace. Please allow about 2 hours for initial consultation appointments.
WHEN TO MAIL INVITATIONS
For weddings and mitzvahs, the rule of thumb is to mail invitations around 8 weeks prior to your event. For destination weddings or in unique circumstances, you may prefer to mail closer to 10 weeks out. Which leads us to...
WHEN TO BEGIN LOOKING AT INVITATIONS
We recommend beginning the invitation process at a minimum of 4 months, ideally 6 months before your wedding. Order your invitations at least 3 months before you plan to drop them in the mail. This timeline allows for a thorough proofing process, production, shipping, and guest addressing. It is always better to get an early start than to feel rushed through this process.
Typically our production timelines are around 10-15 business days from the time of final proof approval. You will be notified when selecting your stationery of the estimated production schedule.
With such a vast selection of stationery options, it is no surprise that there are a wide range of price points. Pricing is dependent a variety of factors, the biggest include: quantity of invitations, invitation specifics (printing methods, stock thickness, size, embellishments, etc.), and number of enclosures. It is important to be upfront about your budget so that we can make recommendations to help you stay on track and at a price point that is comfortable for you. The majority of our couples budget about $2000-$3500 for a quantity of 100 suites.
We love helping our clients carry a cohesive look from their invitations though their wedding accessories for a wedding day that is branded with personality. We have a streamlined process designed to take a little stress off your plate, just provide us with text and important information and we will take care of the design and production. If you need assistance with drafting wording, just ask. More information on our services is available here. Please allow at least one month before the big day for design and production time.
